Exercise with Felicity Goldring, BScPsych, BScPT, RPT
Felicity guides patients to discover and practice forms of exercise that bring them joy and promote optimal health. This could be Tai Chi, Yoga, Pilates, golf and individual sports such as running and cycling, or team sports such as basketball and tennis.
The Canadian Guidelines for exercise suggest 150 minutes of moderate to vigorous-intensity exercise per week. This can be done in 10 minute bouts, and amounts to less than 1/2 hour per day. Adopting this exercise habit has been shown to help with the prevention of chronic pain, diabetes, heart disease, and cancer and boosts mental health.

The majority of time during Physiotherapy sessions with Felicity (Systemic Deep Tissue Therapy® and CranioSacral Therapy) is devoted to hands-on physical therapy. However, some time is reserved for teaching home stretching and strengthening exercise programs specific to the patient's condition, ball rolling and foam rolling.
